Basic hero movement includes walking, sprinting, jumping, dodging, jump attacks (melee only), and dodge attacks (melee only). Certain abilities can also grant heroes super jumps, which greatly increase jump height. Furthermore, many heroes have abilities that give them unique movement options, such as Beckett's jetpack, or Mozu's teleport.

Different heroes have different base movement speed, either 630, 650, or 670. While this is a fairly small difference, it can be felt over long chases.

Basic Movement

Walk

Walking is the basic movement performed with (WASD / LS). While slow compared to sprinting, it does not consume STAMINA

Sprint

Heroes can SPRINT
Provides a significant boost to hero's movement speed.

Jump

Every hero can JUMP
Lets hero to get up platforms, over ledges, across gaps, and away from enemies.
OUT OF COMBAT jumping is free, but after entering COMBAT it begins to consume STAMINA by portions.
When stamina bar reaches 0, hero will perform short-hops instead of jumps.
Melee Heroes also gain a special attack by using their primary attack after jumping, which consumes additional stamina, but hitting an enemy IN THE BACK will apply CRIPPLE.

Dodge

Heroes can DODGE
Gives character a chance to completely avoid incoming attack and gain invulnerability for a brief moment (does not apply to damage from ground effects or debuffs).
One dodge always costs 25 points of STAMINA. When stamina bar reaches 0, hero still can dodge, but will lost chance to gain invulnerability.
Melee Heroes also gain a special attack by using their primary attack after dodging at the cost of additional stamina, but charging forward and deal damage.

Notably dodges can be performed both on the ground and in the air, as well as during some abilities that otherwise prevent movement, such as HK-206's fortify mode. Dodging while airborne allows heroes to climb slanted geometry that is taller than a single jump height and can be used to navigate maps more quickly.

Each hero's dodge gives them a unique window of INVULNERABILITY

Melee-Only Movement

Melee heroes have two additional movement options that also double as special attacks. Note that heroes that can turn their melee attacks into ranged attacks through talents such as Aisling lose the ability to perform these special attacks after doing so.

Jump Attack

A jump attack is performed when a melee hero with sufficient STAMINA

Dodge Attack

Ability-Related Movement

Super Jump

Heroes such as Uncle Sven and Voden can create an area that grants allies the JUMP HIGHER
Increases the height of all jumps when affected by the skill.
